1. How much does it cost to move a house in LA?
It depends on the size of the house, how much you are moving, how much packing you need, and the distance. Because a full house is a large move, the most accurate quote comes from a proper walk-through rather than a phone guess. We assess every room, the garage, and the yard, then give you a transparent price with the full cost up front.
2. Do you disassemble and reassemble large furniture?
Yes, that is part of a house move. Beds, large tables, modular sofas, wardrobes, and shelving that are too big or awkward to move whole are taken apart at the old house and reassembled at the new one. It is included in the plan, so you are not left with a disassembled bed frame and no idea where the hardware went.
3. Does a house move include the garage and the yard?
Yes, and these are the parts people most often underestimate. The garage full of tools, equipment, and storage bins, and the yard with patio furniture, the grill, and planters, are all part of the home and part of the plan. We account for them in the walk-through so they are moved with everything else, not left for a last-minute trip in your own car.
4. Can you pack the whole house as well as move it?
Yes. Packing an entire house is a large job on its own, so many people add full or partial packing services to a house move. We can pack the whole home room by room, or just the fragile and time-consuming things like the kitchen and the art while you handle the rest. We bring the materials either way.
5. What if the new house is not ready when I have to leave the old one?
Closing and move dates often do not line up on a house move. We offer secure storage that can hold a full household for as long as you need, and the same company handles the move into storage and the move out when the new house is ready. Mention the timing at the quote stage so we can build it into the plan.
