A full-service move is the whole thing done for you. We bring the boxes and materials, pack every room, disassemble and load, drive, unload, reassemble, and unpack at the other end, then clear away the empty boxes. You point to where things go. We handle the rest.
The packing is what eats your evenings and weekends for weeks before a move. Full-service takes all of it off your plate, so moving does not take over your life.
Everything done for you, end to end.
Most moving quotes cover the loading and the driving, and leave the rest to you: the supply runs for boxes, the weeks of packing, the unpacking on the far side, and the pile of empty boxes afterward. A full-service move covers all of it. We arrive with the materials, pack the whole home, handle the move itself, then unpack and set up at the new place so you walk into a home, not a stack of boxes.
Royal Moving & Storage offers full-service moving across Los Angeles, with more than 50,000 moves completed at a 4.9-star average. You can take the whole package or just the parts you want, and either way you get a transparent quote with the full cost up front, a professional crew, and USDOT #3617767 behind every move.
From the first box to the last one flattened, here is the full scope of what gets handled for you. Take all of it, or pick the parts you want.
STEP 1
We bring the materials
Boxes, packing paper, bubble wrap, tape, and specialty cartons arrive with the crew. No supply runs and no guessing how many boxes you need.
STEP 2
We pack every room
The crew packs the whole home room by room, wrapping the fragile things properly and labeling boxes by room so everything is easy to find later.
STEP 3
We disassemble & load
Large furniture comes apart, everything gets padded and wrapped, and the truck is loaded so nothing shifts on the road.
STEP 4
We transport
Your belongings travel with our crew to the destination, across LA or across the country, with one team responsible the whole way.
STEP 5
We unload, place & reassemble
Boxes go to the right rooms, furniture is set where you want it, and the beds, tables, and large pieces are rebuilt and ready to use.
STEP 6
We unpack & haul the debris
If you want unpacking, we set up the rooms, then collect the empty boxes and packing material and take it all away so you are not left with the cleanup.
Full-service is one end of the scale. If you want to do some of it yourself, or you only need certain parts, here are the LA services you can take on their own.
The weeks of packing and the unpacking on the far side are the real work of a move. A mover that only loads and drives leaves all of that on your plate.

Want your whole move handled in Los Angeles?
Tell us about your home and how much you want us to do. We will put together a full-service plan and give you a transparent quote with the full cost up front.
1. What does full-service moving actually include?
A full-service move covers the whole job: we supply the boxes and materials, pack every room, disassemble and load the furniture, transport everything, then unload, reassemble, and place it at the new home. If you want it, we also unpack and set up the rooms and haul away the empty boxes. The idea is that you do not have to lift or pack anything.
2. Do I have to take the whole package, or can I pick parts?
You can pick. Plenty of people take full packing but unpack themselves, or pack the everyday things and have us pack only the fragile items and the kitchen. You can also add just packing to a standard move, or go the other way with labor-only help. We build the quote around the parts you actually want.
3. Is full-service moving worth the extra cost?
It costs more than a load-and-go move because it includes the packing materials and the labor for packing and unpacking, which is the most time-consuming part. People choose it when their time is tight, when packing is hard for them physically, or when they simply do not want to spend weeks on it. We give you the full cost up front so you can decide whether the trade is worth it for your situation.
4. How long does a full-service move take?
It depends on the size of the home. Packing is usually done over one or more days before move day, then the move itself happens on the scheduled day, with unpacking either the same day or the day after for a larger home. Because the crew packs efficiently, the whole thing is often faster than doing the packing yourself over weeks. We lay out the schedule with your quote.
5. Does full-service work for a long-distance move out of LA?
Yes, and it is often the most useful there. With a long-distance move you are dealing with a new city on top of everything else, so having the packing handled here and the unpacking handled at the destination takes a lot off your plate. The same company is responsible for the whole move from the LA home to the new one.
