Interior designers and trade clients in Orange County need a receiving partner who inspects deliveries properly, stores pieces safely until the installation is ready, and delivers to the residence or project site with the handling that high-value furnishings require. Royal Moving & Storage provides designer receiving and delivery in OC as a white-glove service built around the trade workflow.
Every specialist job starts with a scope review. We confirm the requirements before committing a crew and a price.
Designer Receiving and Delivery in OC Built Around the Trade Workflow
An interior design project in Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, or Irvine involves pieces that arrive from freight carriers on different schedules, sometimes weeks apart. Each piece needs to be received, inspected against the purchase order, photographed for condition documentation, and stored properly until the full installation is ready to proceed. Releasing delivery before all pieces are in hand or before the client space is ready creates damage risk and installation problems.
Royal Moving & Storage receives designer shipments at our OC facility, inspects each piece on arrival, photographs any packaging damage before opening, and stores in individual vaults until the designer schedules delivery. White-glove delivery to the client property includes placement to the designer's floor plan, removal of packaging, and light assembly where required. For ongoing trade accounts, we serve as the receiving and delivery arm of your OC operation without requiring you to manage freight logistics in-house.
What Designer Receiving and Delivery in OC Requires
Six things that matter when the contents are trade-sourced furnishings and custom pieces.
Arrival Inspection and Documentation
Every piece is inspected on arrival and photographed before and during unpacking. Damage in transit is documented before the freight carrier is released, protecting your claim rights.
Individual Vault Storage
Pieces are stored in individual vaults, not in open warehouse space where items can be confused, scratched, or accessed by other parties. Your project inventory stays separate and accountable.
White-Glove Delivery
Delivery to the OC client property includes placement to the designer's floor plan, packaging removal, and light assembly. The crew does not leave until the designer confirms placement is correct.
Coordinated Installation Delivery
All pieces for an installation are staged and delivered together on the installation date, not piecemeal as they arrive. The client property receives one delivery, not multiple.
Trade Account Management
Designers with ongoing OC projects receive a single point of contact for all receiving, storage, and delivery coordination. No need to manage freight logistics yourself.
OC Residential Access Handling
Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, and other coastal and gated OC communities have access requirements. We coordinate with building or HOA management in advance so delivery day runs without delays.
Four steps from the first freight arrival to every piece placed at the client installation.
01
Receiving and Inspection
Freight received at our OC facility. Each piece inspected against the purchase order, photographed before and during unpacking. Transit damage documented before the carrier is released. You receive a same-day receiving report.
02
Vault Storage by Project
Pieces stored in individual vaults by client project. Nothing commingles between projects. You have a running view of what is in storage and what is still outstanding from vendors.
03
Installation Day Staging
When you schedule the installation, we stage the full project at our facility. All pieces for the client address confirmed against the project inventory before the truck is loaded.
04
White-Glove Delivery and Placement
Delivery to the OC client property with placement to your floor plan, packaging removed, and light assembly completed. We do not leave until you confirm placement is correct.
We serve the full county, from inland Anaheim and Fullerton to coastal Newport Beach and Laguna Beach, and the master-planned communities of Irvine and Rancho Santa Margarita.
A Trade Receiving Partner vs. Managing Freight Yourself on Every Project
Both get the pieces to the client. Only one inspects on arrival, catches transit damage before the carrier leaves, and delivers everything together on installation day.
Typical Approach
Managing freight and delivery yourself
Piece arrived damaged but carrier was released before unpacking, claim denied
Items from different projects stored together, wrong chair delivered to the wrong client
Designer coordinating freight from four vendors individually, installation delayed by one missing piece
Delivery made in two trips because the full project was not staged before loading
Client received delivery without designer present, placement wrong and required a second visit

Set Up Designer Receiving and Delivery for Your OC Projects
1. Do you receive freight from common carriers at your facility?
Yes. We receive from LTL and white-glove freight carriers at our OC facility. Provide the carrier with our address and delivery contact and we handle receipt, inspection, and documentation on your behalf.
2. What happens if a piece arrives damaged?
We photograph the packaging before opening and the piece immediately after. Any damage in transit is documented before the carrier is released. We notify you the same day with photos and support your freight claim process.
3. Can you store pieces from multiple projects separately?
Yes. Each client project is stored in its own vault or vault section. Your inventory does not mix with another designer’s project.
4. How do you coordinate the installation delivery with the client?
You provide the installation date and the client address. We stage the full project at our facility and deliver on the scheduled date. For OC properties with HOA or building access requirements, we coordinate with the property in advance.
5. Do you handle assembly of furniture on delivery?
Light assembly, meaning hardware attachment, leg installation, and similar tasks, is included. Complex assembly that requires specialized tools or instructions beyond standard hand tools is discussed at the booking stage.
6. Are pieces covered under your insurance while in storage and during delivery?
Yes. Royal Moving & Storage holds California carrier license CAL-T 191476 and carries full cargo and liability coverage on all pieces in vault storage and in transit to the OC delivery address.
