1. My company is giving me a relocation allowance. How does this work with your pricing?
Tell us the amount of the allowance and what it is meant to cover when you get a quote. We give you a transparent written price for the service tier that fits your situation, so you can see whether it falls within the allowance before you book. If the full service costs more than the allowance, we can discuss which elements to include to stay within it.
2. Can you provide an itemized invoice for my expense claim?
Yes, and for relocation expense claims it matters that it is itemized rather than just a total. We issue an invoice that breaks out the service lines (truck and crew, packing if applicable, storage if applicable) with the relevant dates and addresses. Tell your coordinator when you book that you need it formatted for an employer expense claim and we will make sure it matches what finance will accept.
3. Can you move me before my start date?
Yes, and that is the standard for job relocations. The move is scheduled to complete before the start date, not after. Give us the start date when you book. We work backward from it to find the right move window, accounting for travel time on long-distance moves, building access at the destination, and packing time if needed.
4. What if my move-out date is before my new accommodation is available?
This is common with job relocations, especially when moving to a new city before finding permanent housing. We pick up on the move-out date, hold everything in access-controlled storage, and deliver to the new address when you are ready to take possession. Storage is a separate line item on the invoice, which some relocation policies cover as part of the benefit.
5. What is the difference between employee relocation and the corporate relocation program?
Employee relocation is a single move, quoted individually, with invoicing to the employee or employer depending on the benefit type. Our corporate relocation program is for HR teams managing multiple employee moves per year, with pre-agreed tier pricing, centralized company billing, and a dedicated account coordinator. If your employer moves people regularly and you want to suggest they set up a program, they can speak to us directly.
