Where Orange County's Largest City Moves

Anaheim does almost nothing at a small scale. The Disneyland Resort and the Anaheim Convention Center pull in millions of visitors a year. Angel Stadium and the Honda Center sit side by side in the Platinum Triangle. The Packing District has turned a century-old citrus warehouse into one of the county’s busiest food halls. Around all of it, families settle into the Colony, West Anaheim, and the hills, and many stay for decades. That mix creates two very different moves: the quick apartment turnover near the resort, and the long-planned exit from a home someone has owned for twenty years.

Royal Moving & Storage Orange County works across Anaheim every week. We know the gated streets of Anaheim Hills, the narrow lots of the Colony Historic District, and the high-rise corridors of the Platinum Triangle. We know that a move near the convention center has to dodge event traffic, while a move off Santa Ana Canyon Road needs a truck-sized vehicle for a steep driveway. We ask the right questions before we quote, and the plan is set before we arrive.

Royal Moving & Storage Orange County is licensed and insured for every move we run in California. You get a written estimate before anything is loaded, one flat price with no surprises, and a crew that stays until the last box is in place.

Moving Services in Anaheim

local moving icon

Local Movers

A move within Anaheim, or between Anaheim and Orange, Fullerton, or Garden Grove, has more variables than the short distance suggests. The Colony’s downtown streets are narrow and lined with parked cars. The Platinum Triangle puts you in mid-rise buildings with shared loading zones. Anaheim Hills adds steep driveways and long carries. We size the truck to the street, stage the load so nothing sits out in the heat, and lock in one flat rate before a single box moves.

Residential Movers

Anaheim homes run the full range. Custom houses in Anaheim Hills sit on large hillside lots with winding access. Bungalows in the Colony have original doorways and tight interiors. Tract homes in West Anaheim are simpler, but often full after years in place. We plan the access, the protection, and the truck setup around each property, so the right crew shows up for the right home.

Commercial Movers

Anaheim packs a lot of business into the Canyon area, the Resort District, and the corridors along Katella and Ball Road. When an office or shop relocates, downtime is the real cost. We schedule around your hours, including nights and weekends. Desks, electronics, server rooms, and files get moved and set up at the new address, so your team is working again fast.

long-distance moving icon

Long Distance Movers

People leave Anaheim for jobs in Texas, the Pacific Northwest, and back east all the time. A move across state lines gets the same structure as a local one. You get one assigned crew, a full written inventory before loading, a price fixed at the start, and a delivery window you can plan around. The same crew carries your shipment the whole way. We never hand a long-distance move to a third party.

Furniture Movers

Furniture is where most of the risk in a move sits, and Anaheim homes are full of it. There are custom pieces in the Anaheim Hills houses, antiques in the Colony’s older homes, and large sectionals in the newer Platinum Triangle condos. Our crews take apart what needs to be taken apart, pad and wrap every piece, and carry it with the right equipment for tight doorways and steep driveways. Glass, stone, and finished wood get extra protection, so each item arrives in the shape it left.

Storage Services

Move-out and move-in dates do not always line up. A sale in the Colony might close before the next home in Yorba Linda is ready. A remodel in Anaheim Hills can push things back by weeks. We store your belongings in a secure, access-controlled facility and bring them back when you are ready. Short holds and long-term storage run on the same simple system.

Why Anaheim Residents Choose Royal Moving & Storage

Transparent Pricing Before We Start

Your quote covers the truck, the crew, the access at both ends, the size of the load, and the distance. We put that number in writing before move day. What you agree to at booking is what you pay when the last item is placed. There are no fuel surcharges added at the door, and no hourly overages after the fact.

One Coordinator from Booking to Delivery

The same person handles your move from the first call to the final box. They keep the building rules, the access notes, the inventory, and the schedule. You do not repeat your details to a new rep each time. If something changes, a date, a building rule, or a weather window, you hear it from the person who set up the move.

A Record You Can Read Yourself

Google, Yelp, and the BBB each keep an independent record of our work. The same notes come up again and again. The crew arrives on time, handles everything with care, and sticks to the quote. You do not have to take our word for it. The reviews are public.

California-Licensed and Fully Insured

We operate under CAL-T 191476, and every Anaheim move is covered for cargo and liability. If your building, employer, HOA, or destination requires a certificate of insurance before move day, we have it ready in advance.

Getting to Know Anaheim

How Anaheim Sits

Anaheim is the largest city in Orange County by population, with around 345,000 residents. It is also one of the largest by land area, at roughly 50 square miles. The city sits in the north-central part of the county. Fullerton and Placentia border it to the north, Orange and Garden Grove to the south, and Buena Park and Stanton to the west.

The Santa Ana River runs through Anaheim, and the eastern end climbs into the hills along Santa Ana Canyon. Three freeways frame daily travel. The I-5 cuts through the resort area, the SR-91 runs along the north, and the SR-57 ties them together near the stadium. ARTIC, the transit center by Angel Stadium, links Metrolink and Amtrak riders to the rest of the region.

The city breaks into clear districts. The Anaheim Resort holds Disneyland, the convention center, and the hotels. The Platinum Triangle around the stadiums is dense with newer apartments and condos. The Colony Historic District downtown keeps Anaheim’s oldest homes. Anaheim Hills, in the east, is a hillside community of custom homes and gated streets.

From Vineyards to the Disneyland Era

German immigrants founded Anaheim in 1857 as a winemaking colony. The name joins Ana, for the nearby Santa Ana River, with heim, the German word for home. Vineyards drove the economy for decades, until a blight wiped them out in the 1880s. Growers switched to Valencia oranges, and citrus carried the city into the next century.

Everything changed in 1955, when Disneyland opened off Harbor Boulevard. Tourism, hotels, and housing followed in a rush. Today, Anaheim is one of California’s ten largest cities and the tourism heart of Orange County. The old Colony streets still show their farm-town roots.

What an Anaheim Move Actually Involves

Access changes a lot from one part of Anaheim to the next. In Anaheim Hills, homes sit on steep driveways and winding streets, and many are behind gated, HOA-run entrances with their own move-in rules. We check the street width and the satellite view before dispatch and size the truck to fit. Downtown in the Colony, the lots are narrow, and parking is on-street only, so we plan staging carefully and protect the older interiors as we go.

Apartments and condos near the Platinum Triangle and the Resort District need coordination. Most buildings there require a freight elevator reservation, a loading-dock window, and a certificate of insurance before they let a crew in. When you book with us, we contact the building, confirm the window, and file the insurance ahead of time. Move day runs on a set schedule, not a guess.

Summer in Anaheim brings real heat, and the fall can bring dry Santa Ana winds. We start hot-weather moves early and keep the crew hydrated, so the pace holds and nothing bakes in a driveway. Event days matter too. Angels games, Ducks games, and big convention dates clog the roads near the stadiums and the resort, so we time the route around them.

Long-distance moves out of Anaheim often come with an employer relocation package, and those have their own timelines and paperwork. We provide itemized invoices, certificates of insurance formatted for HR, and written estimates in the formats companies usually ask for. If your employer requires a licensed, insured carrier, we meet that standard, and we carry the shipment ourselves the whole way.
