They were on time with no delays. Awesome service, great hard working people that got the job done in a very timely manner and cleaned up afterwards which was a huge help. They are also military friendly!
Great service .... really prompt as far as timing. They come in and do the work, no messing around. Had all the essentials a moving company needs (blankets, pads, etc.) and the pricing was very fair for a 3-person team. Would use again for sure.
I moved from NYC to Herndon, VA in mid-April and then moved back to NYC in mid-June. Used Royal Moving both times and overall am satisfied. I move a lot and the price I paid on both moves was nearly half the cost of quotes I got from other movers I have used in the past. Yes, they charge you for things like boxes, tape and other packing materials, if you need them, but that is to be expected when the overall price is so low and you should know those things aren't free. Yes, they should be more explicit up front about the charges but if you know you'll need stuff like that included in your quote either tell them in advance or just pay twice as much elsewhere. The staff that shows up to do the actual move is very professional/polite and they know their stuff. Nothing was broken or damaged in either of my moves and quite frankly they seem to communicate even better than the office staff. They call in advance to let you know they're on the way and are very focused and quick once they get to your place. The movers also ask whether you want something wrapped, etc. and advise you of the costs. If you don't want something specially wrapped they won't do it. The office staff is friendly but can stand to be a little more responsive in my opinion. Obviously, nothing major or I wouldn't have used them twice but I work in the Customer Care industry and it seems I needed to follow up too frequently, at times. On the first move I needed to double-check several times on a COI required by my building as well as confirming the exact move time. I was also told I could use a credit card and found out the day of the move I couldn't. Finally, they should be should be more explicit about pricing of packing materials but given the overall price I am OK with that. Mimi is a bright spot here and is good at keeping you informed and working with your needs from a dispatch perspective. It should be noted that on my 2nd move I had none of the hiccups that occurred on the first move. Moves are always a pain and a hassle but these two moves were not bad at all.
