1. How much do residential movers cost?
For local moves, the price comes down to crew size and hours, plus stairs, long carries, and how much you have. For long-distance moves, it is based on weight and mileage. A studio and a four-bedroom are not close in either case, so we quote after a walkthrough and you see the full price before move day.
2. What kinds of homes do you move?
Studios, apartments, condos, townhouses, and single-family homes from one to five-plus bedrooms. If your move is mostly an apartment, our apartment movers page covers building access in more detail; for a whole house, see house relocation.
3. Is it cheaper to move on a weekday?
Often, yes. Weekends and the first and last few days of the month are the busiest windows for residential moves, so a mid-week, mid-month date usually has more crew availability and better pricing. If your dates are flexible, tell your coordinator and we will point you to the cheaper slots.
4. Do you provide boxes and packing materials?
Yes. We bring boxes, packing paper, tape, and wrap, and we offer full or partial packing. The most common request is a partial pack of the kitchen and closets, since those are the rooms that take the longest and break most often when packed in a rush.
5. Is there anything you will not move?
A few things by law or safety: propane tanks, gasoline, fireworks, and other hazardous materials, plus perishable food on long-distance moves. Houseplants are fine locally but do not travel well on a long haul. Your coordinator will give you the full do-not-pack list when you book.
