1. What exactly is included in a labor only booking?
The crew, their time, moving blankets, shrink wrap, straps, and dollies. We load or unload your vehicle, protect your furniture, disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed, and place everything where you want it at the destination. What is not included is the truck or container — that is yours to arrange. See our labor only moving guide for more detail on what to expect.
2. Can I book a crew for just loading, or just unloading?
Yes to both. Loading only means the crew shows up at your origin, loads the truck or container, and you handle everything from there. Unloading only means they meet you at the destination and get everything off the vehicle and into the right rooms. Or book both ends if you want help at origin and destination — they do not have to be the same crew.
3. Do you work with PODS, U-Box, and other containers?
Yes. We load and unload portable storage containers regardless of the provider — PODS, U-Box, 1-800-PACK-RAT, or any other service. Tell us the container dimensions when you book so we send the right number of people to pack it efficiently. Container loading is a skill — a poorly packed container wastes space and lets things shift in transit.
4. How is labor only priced?
Labor only is priced by the hour per crew member, with a typical minimum of two hours. The rate depends on the crew size and the market. There are no extra charges for moving blankets, dollies, or shrink wrap — those come with the crew. We give you a transparent hourly rate when you book so you can estimate the total based on the size of your home and how long you expect the job to take.
5. Can you help me carry a new delivery in from the street?
Yes. If a retailer drops a piece at the curb and will not bring it inside, or leaves it in a lobby that is not your apartment, we can pick it up from where it landed and carry it to the room you want, up stairs if needed. Book it the same way as any labor only job — tell us what it is, where it is, and where it needs to go.
