Brentwood in Context
Brentwood by the Numbers
Brentwood is a city in eastern Contra Costa County with roughly 65,000 residents, set well inland past the Delta’s edge. It grew quickly from farm country into a commuter community, and summers here run hotter than in the bayside cities closer to the coast.
The Brentwood Story
Brentwood built its name on agriculture, and the u-pick farms on its fringe still draw crowds for cherries and corn each season. Over the past few decades, subdivisions spread across the old fields, turning a farm town into a fast-growing suburb. Newer neighborhoods near downtown and off Balfour Road sit beside the orchards that gave the city its character.
What Moving Day Looks Like in Brentwood
Two things shape a Brentwood move: distance and heat. The city is a longer haul from the central Bay, so we schedule the drive and price it flat up front. Much of Brentwood is newer subdivisions with HOA rules on hours and access, which we plan around, and summer heat means early starts and careful handling of anything sensitive in a garage full of suburban gear.
Because Brentwood is still filling in, some newer streets and driveways sit tight against fresh curbs and landscaping, which crews work around carefully. For the longer runs back toward the central Bay, we build the drive time into the plan so the day does not slip.
