Hidden Hills, California sits comfortably between the foothills of western San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County and the Ventura County line. The community has 2,000 residents that enjoy a preserved a country way of life, which, for the most part, has vanished from the neighboring Southern California communities. Hidden Hill’s peaceful ambience is a rural treasure that is hard to find in Los Angeles County, and has become an example of luxurious, small-town living in Southern California.

In 1950, when A.E. Hanson, began his development of Hidden Hills, there were only two oak trees on a long dirt road alongside rolling hills. Slow development began, leading to the construction of a few houses, but the tiny community was near a thousand residents when its civic leaders decided to incorporate Hidden Hills in the spring of 1961. On October 19, 1961, Hidden Hills became the 73rd city in the County, a new city with approximately 1.3 square miles, and a valuation of $2,681,910.

Now, the “little city that could,” which is situated in the northwestern portion of Los Angeles County, is a gated community full of celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Caitlyn Jenner, Jamie Foxx, Denise Richards, LeAnn Rimes, and Melissa Etheridge.

In addition to the peace and relative safety of this gated community, there are also wonderful natural resources bordering the community that provide endless outdoor activates. To the north lies the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Preserve, which provides plenty of things to do for nature enthusiasts, including miles of hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian trails. On Hidden Hill’s southern border is the community of Leonis Adobe National Historic Monument, which is the home to gardens and a historical museum.

Furthermore, the Hidden Hills’ community is perfect for families, with numerous programs for kids and the community. There is a summer camp for children, children’s theatre programs, and community-wide barbecues, carnivals, welcome wagon, and other great activities and festive events.

Therefore, when you’re looking for a luxurious neighborhood in rural hills with plenty of land all around and people who value getting away from the madcap world, then Hidden Hills is the perfect setting for you.
